Want to learn more about the program, the academic community and the student experience?

You can get in touch with:

Katalin Németh ( Kata)

Current Hometown and Country: currently Fresno, CA (USA), Hungarian origin

Program: RGPP

Graduation: 2014

"I have received exceptional opportunities in life – Fulbright scholarship, working for the first Native American women ever elected in the U.S. Congress, and learn about new and complex ideas. This path began with applying for the CEU's  Roma programs. The RGPP at CEU is a unique place where faculty and teachers think YOU matter. With an emphasis on bringing together ambitious and smart Romani individuals, and with consistent tutoring, YOU too would make an excellent student in any international graduate programs!

Come to RGPP, it is worth it, you will see.”

Maria Atanasova (Maria)

Hometown and Country: Bulgaria

Program: RGPP

Year of Expected Graduation: 2021

“ I want to encourage young Roma graduates and tell them that if they are interested, and want to study social sciences, RGPP is the best possible place they could apply. They should start their application process because they don’t know how amazing it is to be an RGPP student. You can learn English, but also prepare for master’s studies and find yourself in an excellent academic environment. The people in the program are really generous and patient, so just apply!

Being part of the RGPP family is a really great thing. The people here will be your friends and family. In Budapest we cook eat and going to classes together, when possible. You are also building your network, which will be very useful.”

Ask Kata or Maria a question! To learn more about the student experience at the Central European University as an RGPP student! If you would like to ask a question specifically from one of them, include their name in the subject line.

We understand that you might have questions about the application process. Starting on January 10th, 2021, we will organize online Webinars on every second Monday of each month where you can learn more about the program and ask questions directly to the RGPP’s Coordinator, Maria Nyerges (who is also a program Alumna)

Tentative dates:  February 8th, 2021; March 8th, 2021 (6 pm CET)
